Check out Twitter
Lots of short updates at www.twitter.com/sandymcilree I am trying to stay loyal to this Blog, but Twitter seems to have the cool factor working for it. Some other Bullet Points:
I have a Life Insurance health exam tomorrow. This kind of stuff makes me nervous, I don't know why. It is pretty important to me that if something happens to me, Tricia and the kid will be fine financialy. Although, I would worry from my grave abot Tricia with a large sum of money. She admits that she can't be trusted with money. I should designate my friend Moore to handle the money should something happen. He would make her money on her money even in these crappy times.
I can not tell you how forunate I am to have a good job, and a solid 5 year contract. Seeing so many people lose their jobs sucks, I pray this new economic plan works.
Do the people dressed up as Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty outside of Tax Preparation offices crack you up? They do me, I laugh every time I see them.
Excited to play golf with some good friends tomorrow. Problem is I will be the worst one in the group by a mile and I am not THAT bad. One friend played college golf at Indiana University on scholarship, the other is one of the best Amatuer Players in Texas, and the third has won three times on the PGA Tour: The Kemper, The International, and The 2002 PGA Championship. I am not nervous at all. I know all three are better than me and that I could never beat them, so what's to be nervous about? I'll just have fun with the guys.
Super Bowl: I still think the Steelers are the right play for all the gamblers that read this blog. I have reasons to cheer for both: Curt Warner for the Cardinals was thought to be washed up and he has lead his team to the biggest game. The Steelers for their awesome ownership and for "The Rooney Rule" which forces NFL owners to interview at least one Minorty Candidate for a Head Coaching job. That is a great rule, it breaks up "The Good Old Boys" network. I love the forward thinking of the Rooneys. The Steelers broke my heart as a kid beating my Cowboys twice in the Super Bowl.
Tricia is in her 21st week of her pregnancy and is doing great. Her belly is starting to show that she is pregnant, not fat. That is a big deal I have learned with women. She is comfortable for the most part, but is expecting to get much bigger in the weeks to come. Still not sure what we are having. First the Dr says a boy, then a month later he says a girl. Who knows, the good news and the most important news is that the baby is doing great, the anatomy scan last week showed that the measurements were perfect. We are relieved and get more excited every week. It is kind of weird that Tricia and I will have a whole new person in our life. Someone we have never met will be moving in with us. I sure hope he/she likes us and they we like her/him. For the longest time (6 years) it was just us and Bumper, then Bumper went to heaven on Nov 11 and it has just been us. Bring on the child, we are starting to look for a nanny, a nanny that speaks Spanish, spanish only for the baby.
You may have heard us talk about El Rey on the show. This place is great. I have been a member there for a couple of years and love it. It's a guys only Spa and Lounge at 5th and Guadalupe. I got a massage and facial today, then chilled in the lounge and read a magazine and ate lunch. I always get the #5 on a sub roll from Jimmy Jones. They have changed up things at El Rey...you no longer have to be a member to use the facility. Personally, I think being a member is the better way to go if you plan on going 2-3 times a month. Great place to watch Texas Hoops and the Super Bowl. Call them for more ino 472-5858 or check out elreyclub.com Guys trust me, this place is VIP all the way, totally pimp

Super Bowl is this weekend, I have to think that Pittsburgh will win this game by two touchdowns. I don't think The Cardinals will be able to move the ball at all on the ground, if they can't run, then they become one diimensional and when that happens, Pittsburgh will tear them up.
There is a recurring them in young drug addicts and alcoholics, divorced parents. I only know this from watching Intervention on A&E. I may be wrong, but it sure looks that way on the show.
I'm interested in hearing the list that Alex is putting together. It is a list of people he likes. Alex doesn't like most people that are popular or have strong opinions or that he may see as a phony (Oprah) He will share his list with us tomorrow morning (1/27) at 7am.
Started reading a book that several friends recomended, "Golfs Sacred Journey, Seven Days at the Links of Utopia" Just starting but its good so far.

The most interesting thing going on in my life is here www.twitter.com/sandymcilree It is not on this blog. It has something to do with Tricia and my baby.
President Obama, not my guy but I will support him and hope he pulls the right strings. I will not be like so many that tried to tear down the presidency over the last 8 years.
The people that boo'd Bush yesterday are real Americans. Real American Losers. Have some class.
Alicia Keyes blew me away last night. I have to wonder how so many Austin Musicians looked at that performance and honestly thought they had that kind of talent. Not many do.
Cheering for the Cardinals to win the Super Bowl. Really just rooting for 37 year old Kurt Warner.
American Idol is losing it's IT factor, the formulas is played out, so is Survivor, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette
Hoping to see Eastwood in Gran Torino. I hear it is not racially sensative at all.
My mom is visiting this weekend. It is always fun to see her. With my mom always comes her twin sister. They are a package deal. Should be a great weekend.

5 Things your cell phone does
5 Things You Never Knew Your Cell Phone Could Do -- Things That Could Benefit You
For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet.
Good information to have with you.)
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually
be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
FIRST
Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of
your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network
to establish the emergency number for you, and this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is
locked. Try it out.
SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in
handy someday. . . If you lock your keys In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home
on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have
the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car
will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be
hundreds of miles away. If you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock
the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!'
THIRD
Hidden Battery Power... Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell
phone will restart with this reserve and will show a 50% increase in battery strength. This reserve will get
charged when you charge your cell phone next time.
FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following
digits on your phone: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset.
Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and
give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card,
your stolen phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but you know that whoever
stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
And finally:
FIFTH
Free Directory Service for Cells Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411
information calls -when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which
makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial:
(800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all.
Program this into your cell phone now. This is the kind of information people don't mind receiving, so pass it on
to your family and friends!

Kitchen
I got some email asking to see the kitchen in our home so here is a shot looking in to the kitchen from the living room. I am not sure if you can tell but the cabinets are a distressed black. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but they have a hint of distress all around. Our kitchen is pretty small, but big enough to cook a meal.

Check this out
I was looking at "That Austin Girl's" blog and she had this video posted. It is not about the video, it is about the song. Check out Tollys Blog http://thataustingirl.blogspot.com/ She is very funny and creative and she hipped me to this cool video. Enjoy
Casa De Sandy and Tricia
Home Tour
I'm thinking of doing my own version of MTV Cribs and posting my home here on this blog. Any interest there, let me know. I have seen other people (morning shows) do this and I am always shocked at how shitty thier homes are. I know that sounded cocky but man, it was bad. Who still hangs guitars on the wall? Who still hangs charachter sketch's of themselves on their own wall. Pretty funny to see how people live. I know, I am snotty. Whatever. I may do it, I may just post another photo from the house. Not SUre
Other Bullet Points:
Follow me at www.twitter.com/sandymcilree Constantly updating that
What has happened to the Celtics, dropping 5 of 7 and now losing to the Rockets. Mid-season slump
Tricia is non-stop cleaning and organizing around the house. I guess this is called "nesting" well her nesting period, lasted a day, thereis nothing left to nest. Weird phenominon that that I can only support.
Slowly starting to get in the swing of things are work. We are bringing back some old JB and Sandy Classics, including Tom Jones Friday morning at 8am, We are bringing the often imitadated, "anyone listening who?" "The Wheel of Get To Know us" is coming back, also the Ode and bunch of other stuff. Check out the show if you strayed away and listened to someone else, just remember JB and I are always here, we are local, meaning we live here in Austin and so does everyone on our show, we only broadcast to Austin, so we can talk about what is happening in Austin. When you whore your show out to little towns around the country, you lose the audiance that is in your home market because you changed. We aren't changing, everyone else is, we just want to be your hometown morning show. Check back in a bit, I will post another photo from my home.
